Where it is, and why only Porto Vromi boats reach it
Porto Vromi is a deep inlet on the west coast, below the villages of Maries and Anafonitria, and it comes in two versions: Porto Vromi Maries and Porto Vromi Anafonitria, about 250 metres apart across the water but a 16-kilometre drive from one another. Both are roughly an hour from the southern resorts on mountain roads, with no bus.
