The most-reviewed boat-only trip on the island, with more than 2,300 reviews, and the reference product for the west-coast caves. Porto Vromi Maries sits almost directly opposite the wreck, so the crossing is short and most of the three hours is spent on the coast itself.

The boat holds off Navagio for photographs of the Panagiotis, then works back along the cliffs with three swim stops chosen from the caves, White Beach, the hidden beach of Sfogio and the cove of Porto Steniti. The caves here are the west-coast set — the operator's own copy lists the Hidden Treasure Cave, the Heart Cave and "some of the best blue caves in Zakynthos" — and the Poseidon's Profile rock formation is passed on the way home.

There is shade on board and a bar, but no catering and no pickup, so you drive to the harbour: about an hour from the southern resorts on mountain roads, and be sure you go to Maries, not Anafonitria, which is a separate quay 16 km away by road. Mornings are calmer and the light on the caves is better before noon.

Good to Know & Caveats

• Navagio (Shipwreck Beach) is closed to landings and to swimming inside the bay through 31 October 2026; boats hold about 50 m offshore and you photograph the wreck from the water
• Weather-dependent: the boat leg is cancelled or rerouted when the west-coast swell builds, and the afternoon sea breeze (the maistro) makes later departures choppier
• Depart from Porto Vromi MARIES — Porto Vromi Anafonitria is a different harbour 16 km away by road
• About an hour's drive from Laganas and Kalamaki; there is no bus
• You can stay longer at a beach and return on a later boat by arrangement
